Antonio Esfandiari: One of the Top Finishers in Poker Superstars Season 3
Known as one of the most reputable players in the history of poker, Antonio Esfandiari was definitely one of the top finishers in the third season of the poker superstars invitational tournament. With impressive career records in both the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour, he is a major force to reckon with especially on top of the poker table. By competing with some of the best poker players of today, Esfandiari showed at the poker superstars that he could take on any challenge in the game.
With career records boasting of one major win each in two of the most prestigious poker events in the world, the performance of Esfandiari at the third season of this tournament was generally impressive and ultimately outstanding. Right from the very start of the competition, he already showed what he got to his overwhelmed as well as dumbfounded opponents. Despite the possibility of not clinching the title in the end, his dedication and motivation in trying to capture the championship was really evident.
During the first elimination match, Esfandiari ensured that his presence would immediately be felt at the Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament by easily winning the event. After a successful start, his third major appearance in the tournament took place in the twelfth elimination match, wherein he snatched third place overall finishing ahead of top tournament contenders Daniel Negreanu, Cyndy Violette, and Greg Raymer.
In addition, a couple of runner-up finishes, which happened during the fifteenth and twentieth elimination matches, capped the excellent achievements of Esfandiari early on in the third season of the Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament. By taking a closer look at these impressive accomplishments, he has performed much better compared with the three champions of Poker Superstars. After all the elimination matches transpired, his performances at the Super 16, quarterfinal, and semifinal rounds were just as impressive. If not for the excellent and timely plays of fellow finalist Todd Brunson in the final match, Esfandiari could have taken the title away from him in classic fashion.
